How to View Your Paystubs

Accessing Employee Self Service

Log in to MyApps. When the dashboard loads, select the green ESS tile.

The Employee Self Service window will appear. To view your paystubs, click “My Info” on the left hand side of the screen. This menu item looks like a tab displayed vertically.

The primary menu along the top of the screen will change. Next, select “My Compensation” and then “Issued Checks/Advices” to view all paystubs beginning July 10, 2016.

The Check dates are sorted by most recent first. If you would like to view or print a copy, click the paperclip icon next to the applicable pay date.

When the next screen appears, click the “Download’ link below the file name.

A dialog box will display, you can either open the PDF directly or save it to your computer.

Sign-up / Access myApps

Sign-up for a MyApps Account

Navigate to myApps using your browser of choice.

Note: It would be a good idea to save this page to your Favorites for easy access.

Click the “Create Account” and read of the Terms of Service. Click the checkbox and “Next” button to start the registration process.

Fill out the myApps Sign Up Form using your information. When finished, click “Sign Up”.

Upon completion, you should be able to log in to your myApps account. A confirmation will be sent the email used in the registration form.

Accessing myApps

Navigate to myApps using your browser of choice.

Enter your myApps email address and password, then click “Sign In”.

Note: If you have forgotten your password, select “Reset Password”. You will be emailed with instructions on how to reset your password. If you continue to have sign-in issues, contact the wvOASIS Helpdesk. Email: helpdesk@wvoasis.gov / Telephone: 304-558-0708.

Entering Punches via ESS Timestamp

Accessing MyApps and Kronos

Log in to myApps.

Click the orange “Kronos” tile to open a new Kronos session.

Your timecard will now be displayed. On the right-hand side of the screen, select ‘ESS Timestamp’ from the menu.

A new screen will appear with a single button in the center. Click ‘Record Timestamp’ to punch in or out.

Note: Please do not click this button multiple times in a row. Click only once per punch!

After recording the timestamp, you will need to refresh the ‘My Information’ timecard tab to see the punch. You can do this by:

Using the refresh button in the ‘My Information’ tab. 

Or by selecting ‘Actions’ from the timecard menu and selecting ‘Refresh Data’.

You will then see the punch load in to your timecard.

Requesting Time Off

Accessing Kronos Time Off Request

Log in to MyApps as shown above. When the dashboard loads, select the orange Kronos tile.

A new window will appear and the Kronos web application will load. You will be taken to the ‘My Timecard’ overview. On this screen, you are able to see your current punches, approved leave requests, schedule, and totals for the current pay period.

Select ‘Time Off Request’ from the menu to the right of the time card.

A new tab will open and the Time Off Request manager will appear. You can view the current week’s schedule and time off requests.

To start a new TOR (Time Off Request), select the ‘Request Time Off’ button near the top of the screen. A new dialog box will appear. Select the criteria for the type of time needed. Start date, End date, Pay code, Duration, Start time, and Length are required fields. Multiple days may be selected with differing dates, pay codes, lengths, etc.

Note: If selecting ‘Full day’, no Start time or Length is required. If selecting ‘Hours’, enter the Start time in either 24-hour format or add AM/PM.

When the fields are satisfied, select the ‘Submit’ button near the bottom of the dialog box.

Note: If you’re uncertain about the request and don’t want to have it immediately approved, you can select ‘Draft’. This will hold the current entry and you can return later to edit or submit for manager approval.

The Request Time Off dialog box will disappear and the entry will enter pending status. It can be viewed from the Time Off Request tab under the date requested.

Note: By selecting the arrow next to the Time Off Request entry, you can retract the submission or view the original. Once the entry is submitted, it can only be edited by a manager.

Checking Accrual Balances

Access ‘My Timecard’ by either selecting the ‘My Information’ tab near the top of the Kronos application or by selecting ‘Timecard’ rom the right hand menu.

Beneath the timecard, select ‘Accruals Reporting Period’. This displays accrual balances as of the date selected in the timecard. Balance projections can be shown by adjusting the date next to ‘Balance as of’, and clicking ‘Apply’.

Select ‘Time Off Request’ from the menu to the right of the time card.

A new tab will open and the Time Off Request manager will appear. You can view the current week’s schedule and time off requests.

To start, enter a new TOR, select the ‘Request Time Off’ button near the top of the screen. A new dialog box will appear.

Checking Work Schedule

Launch Kronos from the MyApps dashboard.

A new window will appear and the Kronos web application will load. You will be taken to the ‘My Timecard’ overview (under the My Information tab). Underneath the timecard, select ‘Totals & Schedule’ from the horizontal menu. The current schedule is shown in the right-hand pane.

Approving Own Timecard

Employee Self Approval

Upon launching the Kronos application, the ‘My Timecard’ overview is displayed. If a different screen is displayed, select ‘Timecard’ from the right-hand menu.

Select the pay period to be approved from the drop down next to ‘Time Period’.

Click ‘Approvals’ from the menu bar select ‘Approve’ from the drop down list.

Note: A timecard can only be approved before locked down by the Payroll department. Be certain your timecard is approved before the deadline.

The timecard is now approved and a new tab is created beneath the timecard called ‘Sign-Offs, Requests & Approvals’. When selected, you are able to see the time and date that the timecard was approved.
