THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR SPRING CLASSES IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 6, 2012.

Schedule adjustments will be made Monday - Wednesday, January 9-11.

Second 8 week course registration will continue until Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Spring 2012 Payment Deadlines

Payment for Spring 2012 tuition must be received in full in the Cashier's Office no later than Friday, January 6, 2012 for registered students. Your courses are subject to cancellation if tuition is not paid in full. You can view your balance by logging into your myMCTC Self-Service. Failure to receive a billing statement will not be accepted as a reason for missing the payment deadline. Tuition can be paid by cash, check, or money order at the windows of the Cashier's Office; credit card payments can be made by logging onto your myMCTC Self-Service; check payments can also be mailed to: MCTC Business Services, Attn: Cashier's Office, P.O. Box 1539, Huntington, WV 25716-1539. If your tuition should be covered by financial aid or a third party, please ensure with the Cashier's Office that your tuition has been covered to avoid cancellation of your courses. If you no longer wish to attend Mountwest Community & Technical College for the Spring 2012 semester, it is your responsibility to meet with an Academic Advisor to drop your courses in order to avoid being charged for those courses. If you have any questions regarding your account, please contact the Cashier's Office at 304-696-3868 or by emailing cashier@mctc.edu.

Spring 2012 Book Vouchers

Book Vouchers for Spring 2012 courses will be available in the Cashier's Office from Tuesday, January 3rd- Friday, January 13th to students with authorized financial aid available. If you do not have authorized aid, you need to speak with the Office of Financial Aid before requesting a book voucher. The amount of the book voucher will be limited to the amount of aid available above your tuition and fees, but not more than $500.

Any student whose tuition is covered by a third party should first contact their third party representative to see if the third party will be covering their books before obtaining a book voucher through MCTC.

Only the specific student will be able to pick up a book voucher. Students must present official picture ID (MCTC ID preferred) to pick up a book voucher and to use the voucher at Stadium Bookstore. Book vouchers are only for use at Stadium Bookstore.

Mountwest Multicultural Club

Before finals start, come take a break and enjoy some pizza with the Mountwest Multicultural Club! Mountwest's Multi-Cultural Club will be hosting a pizza party open to all students, and will be holding an informational meeting on Wed., Dec. 7th at 1:00 p.m.at Cabell Hall Room 101. We will discuss the organizations future goals and aspirations as well as the future appointment of officers. Pizza will be served. Attention Mountwest Students

Beginning in January 2012, Mountwest Community & Technical College will be partnering with Higher One, a financial services company focused solely on higher education, to bring you a new option for receiving your refunds: the EasyRefund card. Please do not throw away this important card since it is your ticket to a faster refund. Simply put, your new EasyRefund card is designed to provide you with increased choices for your Financial Aid or school refunds.

These options include:

1. A same day deposit to the OneAccount, an FDIC Insured, no monthly fee, no minimum balance checking account. With the OneAccount, you receive your funds the same day they're released by Higher One-the easiest and fastest choice available.

2. Transfer to another account.

Please activate your card as soon as you receive it.

Remember, even if you are not currently expecting a refund from Mountwest CTC, we may have a refund for you in the future.

In order to ensure that Mountwest CTC has your current mailing address, please take a moment to visit myMCTC Self-Service to verify and update, if necessary, your address information today. You can also choose to update your address by going to the Registrar's Office in Room 110 of the MCTC building.

Your new EasyRefund card will be mailed to the address you currently have on file with Mountwest CTC. Therefore, it is critical that you verify your mailing address as soon as possible. Please note, it is extremely important that you verify your address is entered correctly as any errors could delay you receiving any future financial aid refunds.

PTA PROGRAM DEADLINE ANNOUNCED

The deadline to apply for addmission into the Mountwest Physical Therapy Assistant Program has been set for Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Applications may be picked up in Division of Allied Health & Life Sciences in Cabell Hall, room 304. Students may contact the program offices to schedule an appointment by calling 304-696-3008 or 304-696-3981.
