TEACHING APPROACH
“In the two years of the Graphic Design program, I strive to take students from zero to work-ready. This is accomplished by teaching computer/digital-literacy skills as well as critical thinking, the creative process, critique, and collaboration, along with a solid understanding and application of the fundamentals of design. Students are given hands-on projects that provide practice for the kinds of work they will be doing on the job. I encourage students to build a professional portfolio of quality work, develop a network of support, and explore the kinds of jobs they are most interested in to help them prepare to launch their careers.”
