PTA Cost Sheet

The following represents the 2021-2022 associated costs for the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Mountwest Community & Technical College. All students seeking admission to the program should be aware that these items are required and not negotiable after a seat has been accepted in the program. Furthermore, timely notice of dues dates will be provided and must be adhered to in order to meet program outcomes. These amounts are subject to change without notice.

Initial Costs

– Transfer Evaluation Fee  $20.00

– PTA Application Fee (includes cost of aptitude exam) $65.00

First Summer Semester Costs

-Lab Material to include:

  • Stethoscope   $30.00
  • Uniform (Polo – 1 required)   $25.00
  • Goniometer / gait belt   $30.00

– Scrubs (Caribbean color – 2 sets required)   $100.00

– APTA/WV Professional Student Membership Dues   $100.00

– CPR Certification (due by start of fall semester)   $50.00

– Physical Exam (due by start of fall semester)   $100.00

Fall Semester Costs

– Criminal Background Check/Drugs Screen Fee (first is included in fees)   $125.00

– TB Test & HepB vaccine (may be required prior to clinical placement)   $20.00

– Health Insurance (will be required prior to all clinical placements)   $250.00

Spring Semester Costs**

– Advantage Online, Mock NPTAE Exit Exam   $50.00

-Scorebuilders Book $81-00

-Scorebulders Review Course ($3,500 divided equally among students
)

-PEAT exam, practice NPTAE Exam $99.00

– Mountwest Graduation Fee   $50.00

Summer Semester Costs**

– Professional Licensure Fees   $785.00

Miscellaneous Costs

– Textbooks (program)   $1,200.00
