Student Support Programs connects Mountwest students with campus and community resources that support academic success and personal well-being. These services are designed to help students stay on track, overcome barriers, and navigate challenges that may arise during their college experience. Whether you need academic assistance, basic needs support, or help finding the right campus services, Student Support Programs is here to help you succeed.

Community Food Pantry Resources Guide <- Click Here.

The Mountwest Community Food Pantry is located on the first floor in the Student Care Center, Office #103, and is open to all students during regular business hours. Students are welcome to take what they need at no cost.

If you are interested in donating, please contact the Coordinator for Student Success and Care Center at oconnor7@mctc.edu or stop by the Student Care Center on the first floor (Office #103).

Suggested non-perishable food items include:

  • Applesauce
  • Canned beans
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned fish such as tuna or salmon
  • Canned vegetables
  • Cereal
  • Crackers
  • Fruit cups
  • Granola bars
  • Instant mashed potatoes
  • Peanut butter
  • Pop-Tarts
  • Powdered milk
  • Rice
  • Snack cakes
  • Coup, stew, or chili
  • Pasta
  • Stuffing mix
  • Oatmeal

Other non-perishable food items are also accepted. Please ensure all donations are within their “best used by” date.

Student Services offers free bus passes for students in need of transportation. Contact the Office of the Vice President for Student Services at 304-710-3474 or visit the Student Services One Stop on the first floor.

Professional clothing resources are available to help students prepare for job interviews, internships, and employment opportunities. In addition to community partnerships, Mountwest maintains a clothing pantry in the Student Care Center that is free for any student to use.
