The West Virginia Cybersecurity Workforce Development Group is a statewide stakeholder
consortium comprising a broad cross-section of individuals from the cyber industry, technology, education,
government, non-profits, etc. Key groups involved are:
The working group serves as a unique nexus for information-sharing, collaboration and
strategic planning regarding cyber education/training, workforce development and employment linkages. The
group also has developed an education matrix that highlights the many levels of learning and training that are
available for individuals interested in this fast-growing field. Finally, the group prepared and published a
strategic report in early 2019, and the participants continue to advance many of those recommendations.
