Certificate of Applied Science
The Engineered Construction, CAS degree program is a one-year program that prepares students for entry-level employment in the engineered construction and advanced building manufacturing industry, with a focus on Structural-Insulated Panel (SIP) construction.
Program Outcomes:
• Identify Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) industry best practices
• Create basic construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Safely operate CNC panel construction equipment to produce SIP components
• Follow OSHA regulations in engineered construction operations environments
• Apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings through on-the-job training (OJT)
• Communicate interpersonal skills with supervisors and peers
The college adheres to an open admission policy which means applications with a high school diploma or GED are eligible for admission. Applicants with neither a high school diploma nor GED may be admitted on a conditional basis.
