Katherine Reed, MA, is an Assistant Professor of English and is the Writing Center Coordinator at Mountwest. Currently she serves on two committees—Online Oversight and Retention & Readmission. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from West Virginia State University and a Master of Arts in Literary Studies from Marshall University. Katherine’s primary focus in literature is with the Gothic and Modern/Contemporary genres, though dabbles quite frequently with psychoanalysis, feminism, gender, and queer studies. One day she does hope to continue her academic endeavors by obtaining her Ph.D. in English and Masters in Library Sciences, and maybe finally writing the next best pirate novel. Until then, she is rather content with reading anything and everything, even if it is deemed trash by the public, and spending time with her two gremlin cats.
