The Mountwest Community & Technical College Foundation provides support to our College and its mission by developing key relationships and financial resources.

Mountwest Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, is committed to financially supporting Mountwest Community & Technical College as it seeks to provide open access to education and assist students and employers in meeting workforce demands. Mountwest Foundation promotes the academic excellence, growth, progress, and general welfare of Mountwest Community & Technical College by raising funds and providing support to strengthen and develop the College and its objectives. The Foundation is governed by a committed board of up to 12 community leaders that donate their time, talent, and resources to advancing the mission of Mountwest Community & Technical College and supporting its students.

We provide resources – financial and professional – to enhance scholarship opportunities, provide growth opportunities, and support programs at Mountwest Community & Technical College. We are committed to expanding access and affordability for all students. We believe the work of the Foundation enhances the lives of community members, the quality of the college, and the communities it serves.

Our Mission

  • Promote the mission of Mountwest Community & Technical College to the businesses and surrounding communities as a key component of economic and workforce development.
  • Develop giving programs that suit all levels of giving and offer a variety of opportunities that meet both the desires of the donors and the needs of the College.
  • Act as a good steward so that the financial resources entrusted to is are strategically and responsibly used to achieve the mission and goals of Mountwest Community & Technical College.
  • Support the long-term growth and success of Mountwest Community & Technical College through quality partnerships with alumni, employees, businesses, organizations and our surrounding community as a whole.

These resources are devoted to supporting Mountwest students who may not otherwise be able to attend college and funding academic programs aimed at supporting economic growth in our community.

Expendable annual fund gifts to Mountwest empower the college to respond to the current and evolving priorities and needs of its students and the community. Your support allows for innovation and the creation of new programs that directly impact student success.  Mountwest’s Annual Fund engages a broad base of support from the college family alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, volunteer leadership, and friends of the college. Every supporter serves as a partner with Mountwest in Powering a Stronger Future.

Your donation will have a meaningful impact:

$50 – allows 1 student to take the national high school equivalency examination.

$120 – purchases bus passes for 6 students allowing them to attend one of Mountwest’s classes.

$500 – supplies tools for 1 student in the Culinary Arts Academy program.

$1,000 – equips an academic work station with a computer.

$5,000 – funds part-time instructors for 2 courses.

$10,000 – equips one of the labs with a digital microscope, monitor and software.
