With everything that is happening, having reliable internet is more important now than ever – whether it is to begin learning in this new format or to continue with your online classes. We also understand that internet/WiFi may not be available and/or reliable where you are.
Below is a list of free internet/WiFi options available. Please investigate these options and decide which option is best for you.

- Comcast – New Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of Internet service for low-income families
- Suddenlink – is offering free Altice Advantage Internet, where available, for 60 days to any household that has a student from K-12 and/or college.
- Charter – is offering free access to Spectrum Broadband and WiFi for new K-12 and college student households
- Xfinity hotspots open nationwide
- Cabell County Public Library – WiFi has been extended out into their parking lot
- FCC agreement – states that providers will waive late fees, not cutoff service for lack of payment, and open hotspots.
- AT&T – offers open hot-spots, unlimited data to existing customers, and $10/month plans to low-income families.
- Verizon – no special offers but following the FCC agreement.
- Sprint – follows FCC agreement, provides unlimited data to existing customers, and, starting Tuesday, 3/17/2020, will allow all handsets to enable hotspots for 60 days at no extra charge.
- T-Mobile – follows FCC agreement, plus unlimited data to existing customers, and, coming soon, will allow all handsets to enable hotspots for 60 days at no extra charge.
If none of these options will work for you, and you do not have access to internet, please contact your instructor for additional recommendations.
