The Technical Studies Degree is designed to meet three major needs:
To provide for cooperatively sponsored educational opportunities leading to the Associate of Applied Science degree and/or one-year certificate for students in quality education and training programs.
To increase the abilities of employees to use technology effectively and responsibly.
To assist those employed in the workforce to understand that education is a life-long process. Mountwest Community & Technical College delivers educational programs in a variety of occupational fields to businesses and industries having an immediate need for such programs.
What You’ll Learn
Components of the program include the following: general education, classroom instruction in a technical core and in the occupational area, and possible on-the-job training. See the current advising sheet for more details.

Credential Earned: Associate of Applied Science
Hospitals are the primary employer of surgical technologists, although much faster employment growth is expected in offices of physicians and in outpatient care centers, including ambulatory surgical centers.
