Dear Parents and Guardians: I am pleased to welcome you and your son or daughter to Marshall Community and Technical College (MCTC). The College’s faculty and staff are committed to providing your son or daughter with the intellectual and critical skills necessary to succeed in this changing, diverse society. Our campus has been rated by APB News as one of the safest campuses in the nation. In addition to being a safe environment, the campus offers a wealth of resources, services and organizations to enhance students’ academic, social, spiritual, professional, and personal growth. Among the many resources are the Academic Skills Center, Tutoring Services, Writing Center, and Advising Center. Each of these assists students in selecting classes that best meet their interests, abilities and needs. The success of students is a priority with faculty, staff and administration at MCTC. Our smaller classes focused in a learning-centered environment allow students more access to our skilled and caring faculty. The wide variety of course offerings and program options permit students to choose from programs ranging from one-year certificates leading to immediate employment opportunities to associate degree programs that prepare students for careers. Several associate degree programs can be the first step to a four-year degree.
