Peer Coach

Our peer coaches help guide students through the enrollment process and work with students in the COL 101 classes. They act as a liaison between students and the institution. They serve as role models and mentors. 304.710.3060 |

Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid at Mountwest Community & Technical College works to communicate valuable information to students to make their education experience as cost effective as possible. Mountwest Email Access

Our help desk is readily available to help students with their email address. It is very important to have access to your email to be sure the student is updated with all Mountwest functions and peer coaches, counselors and faculty will be able to reach them.

Disability Services

Academic Skills Center

The Academic Skills Center (ASC), located in the Mountwest Community and Technical College building Room 103, is operated by a director and a highly qualified staff of math instructors and study mentors offering tutorial assistance to individuals and study groups. In addition to working with teachers, students have access to computers and videos to assist in building academic skills and refreshing existing skills.

ASC courses are also co-requisites to the developmental math classes. Students enrolled in ASC 096 and ASC 099 is required to attend tutoring sessions. Students in all math classes are welcome to attend tutoring sessions in the Academic Skills Center.

Blackboard Introduction

This introduction is to help students to see the basics of the Blackboard Learning Management System that Mountwest uses to host the online courses. For help logging into Blackboard and other related questions, click here.

IT Help Desk

IT Help Desk assists faculty, staff, and students with their Mountwest email account, myMCTC self-service, creating their Mountwest ID, connecting personal devices to the Mountwest wireless network and other technical issues that might arise.

Library Services

The Mountwest Resource Center offers students computer access in a quiet study zone, with staff on hand to assist with research needs. Staff also provides assistance with general computing questions and campus information.

Mental Health Counselor

Mountwest, in coordination with U-lifeline, provides referrals for counseling and psychological services for students struggling with abuse; anger management; anxiety; chemical dependency; depression; eating disorders; grief and loss; loneliness; sleep problems; and stress, among others. 304.710.3361 |

Military Services

At Mountwest, veterans, qualified dependents and active duty military members receive personalized support from the initial point of inquiry through graduation from our trained staff of military veterans. 304.710.3417 |

Career Services

The office of Career Services provides personalized service to our students including cover letter, resume, job search, and interview skills. Through working and building relationships with local employers Career Services has helped students to gain employment. 304.710.3361 |
