About the Foundation

The Mountwest Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) organization established in 2009 to generate, administer, invest and disburse charitable contributions given by individuals, corporations and philanthropic foundations in support of Mountwest Community & Technical College.

The Foundation advances the pursuit of excellence in education, workforce development and employer engagement at Mountwest Community & Technical College. We provide the bridge between donors and the College, faculty and students. That bridge empowers caring individuals, foundations and businesses to make gifts that directly impact our local workforce.

Private funds help address the most critical needs of the College—curriculum enhancement; state-of-the-art facilities and equipment; and student scholarships. As Mountwest prepares for the move to its new campus and continues to experience record student enrollment, donor generosity will assist the College in fulfilling its mission of providing education and training for a diverse population while meeting regional and global workforce demands.
