Instructor/Assistant Professor - Medical Assistant Program

Full-time, 9-month faculty, renewable term appointment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualified applicants should
have Certified Medical Assistant (CMA-AAMA) credential. Individuals without CMA, but who have experience in other medically relevant field of
study, i.e. nursing, may be considered. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, a Master’s Degree is preferred. If successful candidate does not have
CMA-AAMA credential, he/she must be willing to obtain degree and national certification. Duties include teaching courses in the MA Program, working
with clinical faculty to ensure appropriate course content and clinical internships, assisting with program and course assessment and reviews,
attending advisory meetings, working with the administration to maximize learning outcomes for students in the program, assisting in the completion
of national accreditation requirements for the program, and working to develop and implement student success/recruitment/retention strategies.
This position may require off-campus teaching responsibilities and/or on-line education.

Assistant Professor - Biotechnology

Full-time, 9-month faculty, renewable term appointment. Grant funded position through January 2011. Salary is commensurate with qualifications
and experience. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in biotechnology, bioscience, or related field. Preference will be given to individuals with
current laboratory or industry experience in DNA isolation/amplification/molecular biology, cell cultures, microbial genetics, and/or
biomanufacturing. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate ability to instruct students with widely varying ethnic, mathematical and
science backgrounds. Duties include teaching biotechnology program courses, conducting biotechnology camps and workshops, developing online
courses, and assisting with laboratory setup. Also, participation in committee work, student retention and recruitment.

Instructor/Assistant Professor/Program Coordinator - Electronics Technology

Marshall Community & Technical College invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor/Program Coordinator in Electronics Technology. This position is
a full-time, 9-month faculty renewable term appointment. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Electronics
Technology or related field is preferred. Additional preference will be given to applicants with excellent communication skills, electronic engineering
experience, biomedical experience and/or Biomedical Equipment Technical (BMET) Certification from the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation
(AAMI). Duties include administering the electronics technology program including a biomedical option on campus and working collaboratively with area secondary
and adult career and technical schools. Teach four electronics courses, oversee program assessment and program review, act as a liaison with business and
industry, and coordinate the program advisory committee. Two or more years of college-level teaching and industry experience are desired. Demonstrated
successful program/course development and management experience are necessary. A classroom presentation will be required for all candidates interviewed. The
position is available beginning with the Spring 2009 term.
