Huntington, W.Va. - Mountwest Community & Technical College is hosting an open house of their new campus Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A special ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. with the grand opening celebration to follow. The Grand Opening Celebration is sponsored by Cabell-Huntington Hospital and is a free event open to the community that will include building tours of the new campus, refreshments, vendor booths, and games/inflatables for children.
The Mountwest campus presents many new opportunities with over 115,000 square feet of technologically-advanced and adaptable space. Campus facilities are designed to accommodate the needs of today’s students and the workforce that they will serve. Classrooms and laboratories incorporate the latest technology for hands-on, practical learning in an adult-oriented environment.
The new campus is located atop Fifth Street hill in Huntington at 2205 Fifth Street Road. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this exciting, new achievement for Mountwest Community & Technical College.
