Huntington, W.Va. - Mountwest Community & Technical College will honor its second class of graduates from Marathon Petroleum Company who earned associate degrees through the Workforce Development Institute.
This ceremony, to be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Mountwest Cooking & Culinary Institute, will recognize the students receiving an Associate of Applied Science in Technical Studies.
The Workforce Development Institute is a progressive partnership between the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce and Mountwest Community & Technical College. It encourages and provides benefit to companies and organizations that seek to increase the effectiveness and skill levels of their workforce through college education and acknowledgement of employer-led training.
Marathon Petroleum is the first sponsored partner from Mountwest's Workforce Development Institute.
