Huntington, W.Va. - The Mountwest Foundation will recognize the Mountwest Community & Technical College students who received scholarships during the 2011-2012 academic year and the donors who made those scholarships possible at a brunch 10 a.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Mountwest Cooking & Culinary Institute.
“I look forward to this event because it gives us the opportunity to publicly recognize our students for their achievements and our scholarship donors for their generosity,” said Dr. Keith Cotroneo, president of Mountwest Community & Technical College. “We are so proud of these students and all they have been able to accomplish.”
The following Mountwest Community & Technical College students received 2011-2012 scholarships from the Mountwest Foundation:
“The sponsors of these scholarships have created a very special opportunity for these and future Mountwest students,” said Foundation President Lee Oxley. “So, we felt it was most appropriate to thank them by connecting them with the beneficiaries of their generosity.”
The Mountwest Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization established in 2009 to generate, administer, invest and disburse charitable contributions given in support of Mountwest Community & Technical College. Private funds given through the Foundation help address the most critical needs of the College—curriculum enhancement; state-of-the-art facilities and equipment; and student scholarships.
