Mountwest Foundation announces new board members, officers

Huntington, W.Va. - The Mountwest Foundation recently elected two new members and officers for its Board of Directors. 

New members are Cheryl Brewer and Patricia Bostic, both of Huntington. Cheryl is the Site Director for DIRECTV. Patricia is the Human Resources Manager for Bimbo Bakeries USA/Heiner’s Bakery.

“Cheryl and Patty bring a wealth of knowledge to the board that perfectly aligns with our primary objective to create a culture of giving that enhances Mountwest’s academic mission,” said Foundation President Jeff Faucette. “I am elated to serve with them and look forward to the fruits of their fresh ideas and perspectives.”

The new members were elected to three-year terms, effective July 1, 2014. During their term, members will work to advance the mission of the Mountwest Foundation—to provide financial support to Mountwest Community & Technical College that will enhance the quality of education in order to further the careers of Mountwest Community & Technical College students.

The Mountwest Foundation also elected the following members to serve as officers for two-year terms, effective July 1, 2014: 

·         President:             Jeff Faucette of Raymond James

·         Vice President:     Mike Emerson of Huntington Steel & Supply Co.

·         Secretary:             Vicki Dunn-Marshall of VDM Management Group

·         Treasurer:             Sue Richardson

·         Past President:     Bob Childers of Structures Resources

The Mountwest Foundation has a total of 16 board members.
