Mountwest announces fall scholarship recipients

Huntington, W.Va. - Mountwest Community & Technical College awarded 19 students with more than $32,000 in scholarships for the fall semester.

The following Mountwest students received fall 2013 scholarships through the Mountwest Foundation:

·         Cheyenne Bellomy – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Michael Campbell – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Taurean Garrett – William L and Marie E Redd Scholarship

·         Alison Grieco – Nell Elizabeth Cook-Rutherford Memorial Scholarship, Presidential Honors Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Matthew Hammonds – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Lorraine Klover – Presidential Honors Scholarship, Mountwest Leadership Scholarship

·         Nicholas Lamb – Advanced Technical Solutions Excellence in IT Scholarship, Mountwest Leadership Scholarship, Presidential Honors Scholarship

·         Terry Marchetti – Lisa Smith-Kroening Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Megan Moore – Desiree L. Franklin Scholarship

·         Christina Morrison – Presidential Honors Scholarship, Mountwest Leadership Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Diana Nuce – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Joshua Parsons – Allied Health Scholarship

·         Kimberly Patrick – Allied Health Scholarship, Presidential Honors Scholarship, Mountwest Leadership Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         John Strehle – Culinary Arts Scholarship, Presidential Honors Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Melissa Taylor – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Chase Trimble – Service Pump & Supply Co., Inc. Scholarship

·         Bradley Walker – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Zachary Wallace – Tech Scholars Scholarship

·         Jerry Wells – Advanced Technical Solutions Excellence in IT Scholarship, Tech Scholars Scholarship

Local businesses and individuals made generous financial contributions to make these scholarships possible. A state grant also matched a portion of private funds raised through the Tech Scholars Initiative.
