Huntington, W.Va. - Enterprise Holdings Foundation presented a $2,500 donation to the Mountwest Foundation for student scholarships last Tuesday, June 12.
The grant will provide much-needed financial support for current and former military service members enrolled in an associate degree program at Mountwest Community & Technical College. It will fund student scholarships to be awarded during the 2012-2013 academic year.
“This corporate scholarship honors and rewards the sacrifice of our veterans and current service members and makes it possible for them to earn a degree from Mountwest,” said Sheanna Spence, Mountwest Director of Development. “Enterprise Holdings Foundation is a great community partner.”
This is the second year the Enterprise Holdings Foundation has sponsored the scholarship.
Enterprise Holdings is the most comprehensive and largest car rental company in the world measured by revenue, employees and fleet. Enterprise Holdings operates the Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental brands.
The Mountwest Foundation was established in 2009 and provides scholarships, academic support and capital project support to the College that will enhance the quality of education in order to further the careers of Mountwest Community & Technical College students.
